This was a particularly fun site to make. It is unfortunate that I never got to finish it as a result of the company splitting in two, but I got to learn some interesting things while working on it. It was the first site I worked on that I really got to work with transparent PNGs for. At a time when IE6 still had to be supported, this made for a rather interesting situation and even though I had to hack in support for the PNGs as a result, I'm pretty happy with how simple/unobtrusive the hack was.
Looking back now, the amount of time it took to make this site is very surprising. However, there are a couple of reasons it took so long to make. The first is that there was a two month gap in working on it which resulted in the designer wanting to make some significant layout changes and the second is that I invested a great deal of time learning for the first time how to fake rounded conrners and properly work with transparent PNGs in a browser that doesn't support them.
